The sapphire is made from beautiful Swiss-grown material and displays shifting tones depending on the lighting — moving through shades of violet, lavender and purple. Its color can appear different indoors, outdoors, and under different light sources, making this stone especially captivating in person.
The oval sapphire is secured in a classic four-prong basket setting and paired with a delicate 1.3mm solid 14k yellow gold band. The minimal setting keeps all the attention on the unusual color and east-west silhouette of the stone.

ABOUT THE SAPPHIRE
Color-change sapphires respond differently to different types of light, so the sapphire may not look exactly the same color in every photograph or environment. Depending on the lighting, this stone can display beautiful variations of purple, violet and lavender tones.
Lab-grown sapphire has the same chemical composition and crystal structure as natural sapphire; the difference is that it is grown in a controlled laboratory environment rather than mined from the earth.
